Sleeve Notes

“Samirs Township” was originally a bootleg that mixed samples from DJ Debonair Samir’s “Samirs Theme” and DJ Mujava’s “Township Funk” that Mumdance, Jammer and C Gritz made to play in their shows.

Jammer and Mumdance became friends and started working together in late 2007.

Mumdance cites Jammer as one of his main influences and production mentors in this period, teaching him how to make grime in his fabled basement studio in Leytonstone, East London.

They toured a DJ / MC show extensively around Europe together over the next few years and released numerous remixes and records in this time, including the “Tarahtid EP” on No Hats No Hoods and “Ten Man Roll” ft BBK, which was released on Jammer’s “Jahmanji” album in 2010.
