The second hour of the radio show features a live performance from Islam Chipsy and and an interview with Mahmoud Refet from 100 Copies in Cairo.

"Cairo Calling" was a cultural exchange organised by the British Council and Rinse FM. Taking place over two weeks, one in London and one in Cairo, artists from both countries were invited to work together and build creative bonds. This culminated in a performance and panel talk at the Barbican.

Mumdance took part in the Cairo week, alongside Pinch and Faze Miyake, working with Cairo’s Islam Chipsy, Sadat, Dezel, Alaa Fifty, Figo and Kanaka.

Mumdance put together a Cairo Calling mixtape at the end of the project, which gathered together all the work they had created, which you can listen to in the mix archive of this website

After the residency finished, all the Cairo artists came over to play at Mumdance & Logos' Different Circles Summer Series at the Victoria in Dalston.
