The Sprawl is a collaboration between Mumdance, Logos and Shapednoise, named after “The Sprawl” trilogy of seminal cyberpunk books by William Gibson.
It was initially commissioned as a one-off performance, for the 2015 edition of CTM Festival in Berlin. However, after hearing the performance Conor Thomas from The Death of Rave label commissioned an EP, with the project growing from there.
Their debut London performance was at the ICA as part of the Masafat Festival, which brought together the sounds of Egypt and the UK.
