There is an alternate version of “Big Slug” featuring a vocal from MC Sadat, recorded at 100 Copies studio in Cairo, when Pinch and Mumdance were taking part in the “Cairo Calling” cultural exchange project curated by the British Council.

It never got released and only remained as a dub for Mumdance and Pinch’s DJ sets.

It appears on numerous editions of Mumdance’s radio show around 2014 / 2015, which you can hear in the mix archive of this website.

Mumdance and Pinch became friends in 2013. They have DJ’d all over the world together and released a string of EPs including “Turbo Mitzi”, “Strobe Light” and “Big Slug” featuring Riko Dan.

In 2014 they released “Pinch b2b Mumdance," a mix CD that was seen by many as a landmark in the UK timeline of underground club music.
